AWOL and related cases - Please remember it is against the law to:

  1. Go AWOL,

  2. Refuse to obey lawful orders, or
  3. Refuse to deploy.

As an attorney, I am not allowed to tell you to break the the law. I can, however, tell you the consequences of different courses of action and I can help you deal with those consequences.

Also as a matter of practice, I seek to use non-directive counseling methods, meaning that I will give you the best information available, but then insist that you make your own decision.

Limitations on Practice - I practice before U.S. military courts-martial world-wide, but do not practice civilian law in any state or jurisdiction besides Oklahoma. If you have civilian legal issues outside of Oklahoma, you will need to contact another lawyer in that other state for assistance.
